Tamassee DAR School Names New CEO

TAMASSEE, SC – Tamassee DAR School has announced that its Board of Trustees has selected Lori Ann Bailey as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mrs. Bailey currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for AIMACCEPT. INSPIRE. MINISTER in Anderson, SC. She will succeed Amy Twitty who is the current CEO. Mrs. Twitty will retire after 28 years of dedication to the children and families served by Tamassee DAR School. Mrs. Bailey brings with her a valuable history of experience including the Vice President of Children’s Ministries/Director of Family Services at Miracle Hill Ministries.

As the newly selected CEO, Mrs. Bailey said, ““The Place of the Sunlight of God” – This is a wonderful description of the legacy of Tamassee DAR School in the lives of the children and families it has served throughout the years. The Tamassee DAR School has a strong Board of Directors, a wonderful staff, enjoys strong support from the DAR, and has robust community partnerships. I am honored and excited to have been chosen as the next CEO of Tamassee DAR School and am committed to continuing the long-standing tradition of impeccable care and education for children and, for families in crisis, support that fosters healing.”

Retiring CEO Amy Twitty expressed her support of Mrs. Bailey, “The nominating committee of board members, community members, and staff members was appointed by the Board of Trustees to identify the candidate whose values, education, experience, knowledge, and compassion for children and their families aligned with that of Tamassee DAR School. Mrs. Lori Bailey is that person. I am confident in her abilities and desire to continue the legacy of our precious school for our precious children.”

Dianne Culbertson who is beginning her second term as Chairman of Tamassee DAR School Board of Trustees commented, “We are very excited to welcome Lori Bailey as the next Chief Executive Officer of Tamassee DAR School. She has a heart for children and is well qualified to lead Tamassee into its second century. God has provided for the children of Tamassee for 97 years and we trust Him as we go forward.”

Mrs. Bailey will begin her legacy of leadership at Tamassee DAR School effective June 27, 2016. Tamassee DAR School is excited to welcome Mrs. Bailey and her family to campus and is committed to supporting her vision and her efforts as she navigates the organization into the future. Tamassee DAR School is a 501(c) non-profit children’s home and family services organization focused on education. The campus is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in beautiful Upstate South Carolina. Tamassee DAR School has been serving children and families for over 97 years.
