2022 Summer Camp Begins June 13

May. 27, 2022

As the school year comes to a close, we are preparing to welcome children to spend their summer days participating in happy childhood adventures with old friends and making new ones along the way.

2022 Summer Camp will begin Monday, June 13th, and runs though Friday, August 5th.   We invite you to make Tamassee DAR School Summer Camp Program your child’s home away from home this summer.  Our historical campus will be utilized for adventures, events, challenges and learning opportunities that will provide carefree summer memories for children to carry with them for years to come.

Each day within the week will host a specific theme, with activities designed to re-enforce the values and traits associated with the characteristics of each topic.   Mondays will focus on drama. During our drama days, campers will learn about different forms of theatre and will have a chance to participate in a variety of drama related activities including plays, movie making, stage setting, and directing.  Tuesdays will be designated for STEM-related excitement.  During our STEM days, children will learn about the many different facets of STEM by utilizing robots, 3d printers, and computers to engage with technology in fun and educational ways.   Sports and recreational activities will highlight Wednesdays.  In the middle of the week, campers will participate in a variety of team building and sports and recreation activities.   Campus will become quieter on Thursdays as children focus on their artistic abilities. During our arts & crafts days, campers will be able to embrace their inner creativity and participate in a variety of art activities. Finally, Friday will find our campers in the kitchen.  On cooking days, children will learn about different cooking techniques, cooking safety, researching recipes, preparing ingredient lists, and with the help of camp staff, cooking the recipe.

Enroll your camper for the entire summer program or select the weeks that best fit your family’s summer schedule.  Either way, your child(ren) will make warm summer memories to carry with them for years to come.
