College and After Care
In the Spring of 2006, Tamassee DAR School began planning for a new child care initiative called CARE (Child Advocacy, After Care, Reunification and Education).
On July 1, 2006 the Tamassee DAR School CARE Program was successfully launched thanks to a 3-year grant by the Duke Endowment. The CARE Program is designed to be a “full service” program offering a continuum of services to help former residents and graduates to secure jobs, adjust to college and independent living and/or to reunify with a caring adult.
The key component of the CARE Program is the Tamassee After Care Program. During the 2007 year, a Case Manager joined the Tamassee CARE team and ACP program.
